Challenge of Finding Great Agents

I was wondering what advice other agents could offer with respect to finding great agents.  We have used Craigslist ads, drip campaigns etc to attrack potenial agents with little success.  I am wondering if you go for the person who just received their license or look for great agents not currently happy with their existing firms. Where are you recruiting your agents from?

  1. At our company our agents have been referred through friends, the best way to hire someone is through a close referral, in our case at least!

  2. Thanks, I appreciate the advice!

  3. Joshua hit it on the head. Know what your competitors are offering (training, splits, fees, team rules/rqmts, etc.) and be as or more competitive in as many areas as you can. For personal insights, ask your own agents why they stay with your company over another. Be bold and ask them what they think others do better. That should give you the ammunition you need to update, change, be more agressive, etc. and get new agents.

  4. What are other companies in your market offering to agents? What kinds of splits are they offering? What other kinds of incentives? Are you competitive?

  5. yes... we have been looking to hire two agents for quite a while with little to no success.

  6. Are you asking from the perspective of a Broker?
