When is the best time to sell your House on Long Island

The truth of the matter is that the BEST time to sell your Long Island House is when IT'S THE RIGHT TIME FOR YOU!  I seriously mean that.  You are the customer, you are the one in charge.  Time things around your schedule, not the market.

In fact, it's impossible to time things with the market.  Houses sell at all times of year.  Buyer's buy at all times of the year.   People relocate for their job all the time, people have babies and upsize all the time.  People get married all the time.

Yes, more houses go on the market on Long Island in the spring...but that also means you have more competition.  And, yes, there are often fewer buyers during the holidays and the winter.  But, those buyers are generally more serious and buy homes faster...as soon as they find the right one for the right price.

Sometimes, you may be ready to get started with the next phase in your life, but you may need some time to prepare your house for the market.  Sometimes people may not have the funds to fix up their house until it's sold and they recoup the equity in their home.  If you need to sell your Long Island House "as is," that is an option as well.

So, my advice to you is to sell when it's the right time for you.  Sell when you are ready.  Sell when your are ready to move on to your next house, regardless of if you are upsizing or downsizing.  You are the driver.  And, don't forget that!
