The Game of Life | Cherif Medawar

Do you want to go from a state of survival to full prosperity? It is all within your reach if you know how to use your mind to manage your emotions and control your actions.

You see, the way we think and process information has much to do with the connection between the subconscious and the conscious mind.

The subconscious part of the mind takes in millions of bits of information a second and filters them through to send less than a dozen pieces of information to the conscious mind.

The subconscious mind’s primary job is to preserve the individual’s sanity and assist in one’s own survival efforts.

The conscious mind’s primary job is to maximize the individual’s potential and assist in one’s own prosperity.

So we could use our conscious mind to become more effective in our quest to reach your highest potential by being cause over our actions.

But the challenge is to quiet down the subconscious mind that is working overtime and making us react to new situations based on some past incidents and experiences.

To move from a survival mode to a full prosperity mode, one must elevate the thinking process to a more accurate, causative, and analytical one (instead of a reactive, responsive and physical one).

This can only occur when one processes the information with a higher level of awareness and alertness. This is a spiritual level of existence.

How can you do that?

Well, the process of thinking involves three questions that we pose and answer to ourselves:

1) What is happening?

2) What does it mean?

3) What should I do about it?

If you can give the right meaning to what is happening around you, by analyzing clearly each situation, you will be able to handle life more creatively, with less emotion, and will act more decisively and strategically.

If you are not able to give the right meaning to what is happening around you and instead, you allow your subconscious to take over and give whatever reactive meanings it chooses to give to each situation based on some past usually negative experiences, then you will be reacting mindlessly with lots of emotions and physical stress to many of your daily events.

So how do you stop “reacting" to things based on what is stored in your subconscious mind that is supposedly helping you survive and start “acting” on things in a more conscious and powerful way to prosper?

You could simply monitor yourself. Psychologists often seem to forget that they have themselves as the best subject and example to study. So they study Apes!

Well, if you agree with me, then I invite you to spend the time this week to monitor how sometimes you react to some things happening to you almost as a reflex and how some other times you just act willfully and mindfully to some other things that end up happening for you.

You will see the huge difference in the way you can transform situations to your advantage and handle challenges with fewer emotions and physical energy when you act instead of reacting.

Eventually, and after a few days, you will see that you could easily go through your day almost as if you were playing a game not as if you were constantly trying to defend, protect, save and survive

Try it, have fun with it, and become your own transformational guru. You cause your own success and positive results. Do not just react to what is happening around you.

I would love to hear your feedback after you monitor yourself for a few days.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Sincerely,

Cherif Medawar
