Environmental Aspects of Real Estate Blog Intro

I am an experienced Project Manager in the environmental consulting field with 19 years of experience with a focus on due diligence, regulatory compliance, and environmental remediation. I utilize my multidisciplinary education and years of experience to integrate scientific inquiry, data analysis, risk assessment and practical engineering solutions as part of the implementation of various domestic environmental projects. I have been involved in transactional due diligence, planning and implementation of hazardous waste site remediation projects, environmental compliance, management of hazardous materials/wastes, mergers and acquisitions, emergency/spill response planning, and permitting.

In this blog I plan to present topics about environmental consulting as they may relate to the real estate professionals. Many professionals involved in commercial or industrial real estate transactions are familiar with typical due diligence requirements and I’ll be sharing some interesting stories related to my experience on this topic. However, information on additional environmental consulting matters appears to be an underserved topic on BiggerPockets, or at least I haven’t found much to read about in my searches. Therefore, I plan to delve into some other types of environmental compliance topics I have experience with including: spill/contingency planning, brownfields/contaminated site cleanup, new facility siting/planning/permitting, construction, hazardous materials use/storage, environmental sustainability, and more.
