California R.E. Buyers Try to Get in on Rising Market

California is one of the hottest ‘recovering’ markets to buy into, according to the Realty Times. One real estate analyst believes that the southern California real estate market will rise by a whopping 20% in 2013. This comes from an expert in real estate in Southern California who has bought over 500 single family homes as investment properties in the last 25 years.

Most of our clients, who are real estate investors in California, have been having a tough time in the last 9 months getting a good deal under contract. In fact, many of them have been complaining that it’s been a bidding war in many markets in California now for several months. Hedge funds and foreign buyers have inundated the courthouse steps in the past year as well, making it harder and harder for real estate investors in California to get a good deal.

Are you a real estate investor in California who is working to find a good deal? What is your strategy in the current market?
