5 Quick YouTube Video Marketing Tips
If you're thinking about adding YouTube to your marketing plan, here are some quick tips to help you gain more viewers and drive traffic to your website:
1.Keep your videos around 3 minutes or less - We live in a busy world and you have a very short window to catch someone's attention. Get straight to your message and avoid lengthy videos that may lose people's attention.
2.If you're on a budget, focus on branding your channel vs. the videos - The videos themselves don't necessarily need to be Hollywood quality, but the graphics you use for channel art should look professional to make that first impression one that sets you apart from the competition and makes people want to click the play button.
3.Add a colon in your video title to help you rank higher in search engines - When you create a title for your videos it should have the primary phrases/keywords first followed by a colon and a short headline. Example - Stopping Foreclosure: How Bigger Pockets can help save your credit.
4.Post videos often - Search engines love fresh content (especially Google). The more videos you post on a regular basis the higher you will rank. Also, the longer your channel has been live the more it will help your search rankings.
5.Add a call to action at the end of your video - Once you've gotten people interested in what you have to offer, they'll want to know what they should do next. This is your opportunity to lead them to your website, ask them to subscribe to your channel, "like" your video by hitting the thumbs up button, or share your video on another social media platform.
There are many more tips and tricks for being successful on YouTube but hopefully these will help you get started towards becoming a YouTube star. I'm currently writing an eBook on Social Media Marketing so stay tuned for more tips to help take your marketing plan to the next level!
