Create a web contact form in 15 minutes and for $0

I wanted to help out those of you that have a limited budget but still wanted to have a web presence to put on their mailings. Not just a lame, site but an intuitive contact form that will work for you and your business. Here's how:

1. Create an account on jotForm.com

2. There Free account allows for 100 submissions a month which is more than enough for most beginners

3. Use their simple tools or select a template to create the look and input fields you think you'll need.

4. I used the following

- Name

- Property Address

- Number

-Email

-Property

-Occupancy

-Contact time

-Tax Questions

-Anything Else

-Submit Button

-Thank You Page

5. You can add all types of effects so when you have time play around with the tools.

6. Be sure to add your contact info so the form knows where to send the data

7. Copy the web address that is now attached to your form. It will be something like: http://jotform.us/form/40255781501146

8. Obviously you can put this on your mailing. No one will want to type that whole thing out.

9. If your having trouble finding the URL go to My Forms, highlight the form you created, Click More, and Click View Form

10. Browse to http://freedns.afraid.org/ and click Main Menu to Setup and account

11. Click Registry on the left hand side

12. Under the domain column are the extensions that will come after your page name

13. Pick one that looks business like. I picked biz.tm

14. They have everything from saveabunny.org to boblove.org so no shortage there

15. Under type select CNAME

16. Subdomain is what you want your site to be named. Choose something specific to what your form is doing. I chose "contactme"

17. Under Destination enter the URL from jotform (Step 3)Small 1390767932 Capture

18. Click Save

I chose to cloak my original address by checking the box on the next page

You can also enter a Title to show at the top. I chose "Enter your property information!"

Click save and test. If your site doesn't show you may need to try a different domain

The cool part of jotform is that you can get all types of information from the users. Take a look at "Reports" button on the "My Forms" page to see what I'm talking about.

So now I have a free contact form URL and a free voice mail box from Google Talk to put on my postcard. The more professional I look the more responses I should get! If you get stuck feel free to hit me up!

Happy Hunting!
