Finding Leads At a Home Show.

I love marketing for deals and I am pretty darn good at it.

This past weekend I tried a new method of finding motivated sellers. I set up a booth at a trade show.  I did this sort of accidentally.  I was at the Pittsburgh Renovation Expo to promote my company that does kitchen and bath refinishing.

While I was there talking to people about kitchens and baths, I started asking people if they would be willing to sell the house as-is.  So far I have 20 leads from people who have houses that need work and they want to sell.  To me this is gold.

These people understand that their house will not sell on the open market in its current condition.  They also understand that they will either need to put money into these houses or they will need to sell them to someone like me.

I will gladly buy houses that need work on terms.  Give me good terms and I will buy darn near anything.

With terms on a fixer upper, i am in heaven.  I will take these under contract, find a contractor and sell it to him as a work for equity deal.

My terms of sale to the contractor will create a monthly spread for me and some back end equity and maybe even some front end cash.

with 20 leads, I am sure I will make money here.

Sometimes you find money when you are doing other things.

To your success.
