A Short Bio of a Teenage Investor

I began my entrepreneurial ventures at the younger age of 14, selling games, ipod cases, and random small ticket items on eBay. As far I knew it at the time, the only way to make some money is to get a job. Due to my immigrant status, I would not even be able to get a job at 15, so I thought "Well, I'll find my own way". That way was selling online - after a pivotal encounter with Robert Allen and his Multiple Streams of Internet Income. I can honestly say I began my entire online business with 70 dollars. I spent that 70 on a list of wholesalers that would not only sell their products at a discount, but also ship their products. And just like that, I began selling their merchandise on eBay. I sold everything from iPod cases, to Prada Bags, to video games.
I eventually came to own www.SuperPocketBikesX18.com, one of the top websites for pocketbike retailing. I always found it funny and utterly amazing that people around the United States and Caribbean were giving me, a young teenager, hundreds of dollars and their credit card information in exchange for a small motorcycle. Even more amazing was that I was getting paid while I was going to the movies, playing paintball, going to school, or sleeping. I wasn't making a killing, but I remember the second Holiday Season my website was officially online for. At the age of 16, I was working say, 3-4 hours a week and making 500 dollars that same week. It beat working at a job, making peanuts like most of my friends. 16 years old with a weekly allowance of a couple hundred dollars? Man I had it pretty good. (But I saved most of it. No worries.)
I am 17 now, turning 18 October 7th. It would be about 4 years since I began my entrepreneurial adventure and I can say I have a long road ahead of me. I finished High School one year early to get a jump start on investing. I am just now stepping into the world of Real Estate, and bringing my armament of internet marketing knowledge. I am not very savvy with Real Estate, but I do know the internet and online marketing pretty well. Officially 2 months into the business, I have brought www.ezREOhomes.com online and a marketing campaign along with it. I work primarily as a wholesaler, but I also do rehab deals on the side with my father. My goal is to complete my first 5 deals by the end of the year, if not more. So come check our website out, and major kudos to Allen Johnson with a fantastic Luncheon. Come see some great people and me, Thursday, at Denny's.

  1. Thank you all guys for the wonderful comments. I will for sure be posting my progress along my journey. Peter, I am up for it. I am very fond of the belief of financial education, which is something our academic system lacks. Speaking out will raise awareness, but people must be aware of an issue before they can fix it.

  2. Nick... great point. I will work on it. Now the question is.. Is Tiger up for it?

  3. Peter, if anyone deserves a few minutes on your show, he does! What an amazing person to have that kind of foresight at such a young age.

  4. Only 17... man can I learn something from you... Great job!

  5. What an amazing story! I can tell you any man and woman who reads this is totally jealous of you and rightfully so! Congrats! I'll see ya at the top!

  6. great job man... I'm 22 and I'm getting into real estate you can make a lot of money with it. My advice would be learn as much as you can- the more you learn the more money you can earn. ( I know thats cheesy but its the honest truth).

  7. Great post! Keep learning and remember: The best part about starting young is that you can have a few set backs and it won't knock you out of the game. If you wait until you are married with children then your decisions become much more difficult. Keep it up!

  8. First off, great job! You have placed yourself in not only a winning postiion business wise, but unlike most people, you are taking action. Please keep us posted about your success!

  9. You have a great head start. i just read Ross Perot's auto-biography. As a boy, he sold seeds and magazines and whatever door to door and he was good at it. In the 1960's he was a legend at IBM for reaching his annual sales quota on January 19. Being good at sales is a great platform for real estate and many other careers.
