•    Figure out what kind of home in the Colorado Springs real estate area suits your needs
•    Get Pre- Qualified
•     Start shopping around for your new home
•    Apply for your mortgage
•    Make an Offer

Renting or Buying? When it comes to the decision to rent or buy there are many things you need to consider. For example, are you willing to deal with the wear and tear? When owning a Colorado Springs real estate home you have to remember there will be no more free maintenance. How big of a mortgage can you afford while still living comfortably? Will this amount be enough to find a home that you’ll love? Also are you willing to deal with burden that even when you want to up and leave this property will still be yours until you are able to find a buyer? So in owning a home there are many hardships and burdens, there are also many that go along with renting. Why pay someone else’s mortgage and helping them gain equity, when you can be gaining your own? Deciding to buy a home is a big decision, but if you decide to take that leap, owning a home can be a huge investment!

What price range fits you? This is a very big question you need to ask yourself. How big of a mortgage can I afford and still live comfortably? When deciding this you also need to put into play that there could be other fees involved. Will the home have an association fee, if so how much will the fee be? How much will the interest rate tack onto my mortgage? All of these questions need to and should be consulted with a professional.

What kind of home are you looking for? What are the main characteristics you want in your Colorado Springs real estate home? For example: How many bedrooms/Baths? Garage, or no garage? Do you want a back yard? What kind of lay out would you like to have? It’s best to have a good idea of these things before jumping into a home and it not being exactly what you needed. With all the different variety of homes why settle for something that doesn’t suit your needs?

Get Pre- Qualified. This eliminates wasting your time. Why would you put yourself through searching through Colorado Springs real estate homes and finding out those weren’t even in your price range? Save yourself from any unneeded frustration and stress and get pre qualified.

Find your home. This part can either be really exciting or really stressful. Come on guys this is going to be your new home! So if you go into this with your homework already done on what you can afford/ what you want, house hunting for one of your Colorado Springs Homes should be a breeze!  Just remember don’t settle for something just because you start to feel a little anxious. Make sure this home is going to suite your present and future needs.

Apply for your mortgage. So even though you have already been pre qualified your still have to apply for the actual loan. Make sure when deciding where to get your loan you choose wisely. Going through a bad mortgage company could result in closing late or even losing you contract. Make sure you find someone you are sure is going to be quick and efficient!

Make your offer. When you finally find a home that you’re confident it will suit your needs, Place that offer! Remember houses are selling left and right. Make sure nobody’s snatches your Colorado Springs real estate home first!
