New Owner has to Pay the Association for Empty Lots sitting in Foreclosure

Owners must pay the association due to foreclosures

It was not unknown to Tom Beard that he would have to be current on his homeowner’s association payments when he moved with his family into Tivoli Village home in Orlando (East). But he never imagined that he would have to pay for the balance dues of empty homes sitting in the middle of foreclosures.

Beard complained that his dues have gone up by 15%. He is in his early forties and a high school teacher. He said, “The reason is that so many of the other homes are in arrears, those of us who are left have to carry the burden for the whole. It’s not right, and it’s not fair.”
