How To Stand Out Online As A Professional Homebuyer

Credibility is vital in any business in order to gain the confidence of potential clients. The house flipping market is no different and has lots of competition in most markets. Building credibility online as a real estate investor can help you capitalize on deals and find leads quickly.

Setup A Business Profile

As a real estate investor, you are often approaching sellers, distressed property owners, real estate partners and lenders. Not to mention also contractors, real estate agents, and property management companies. All of these people want to know who they are dealing with. Even home sellers being offered a cash deal need to know that they are dealing with a credible person and that the escrow will close without problems.

To develop a legit business profile, establish a proper business entity. It doesn’t need to be a formal limited liability company , though many real estate investors like this structure. You can establish a “doing business as” sole proprietorship with the county.

Have A Proper Online Presence

Build a real estate investor website that maintains current and correct contact information. Make sure the site is easy to navigate on a mobile device and ensure that phone numbers and emails are accurate and easy to find. List a business address as well and make sure these citations (phone, email, address) are accurate and consistent across the web.

Cleanup Your Social Media Presence

Do a simple google search with your name and see what pops up. Old tweets from years past can come back and haunt you. Clean up your social media profiles on Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram.

Showcase Reviews & Case Studies

People love to do business with people who have a good reputation and lots of positive reviews. If you have any experience, take the time to draft and develop case studies and showcase them on your website. A case study outlines the transaction from start to end and demonstrates why the deal was selected and how it was executed.

Don't be afraid to ask past home sellers if they would be willing to give a testimonial online. This could even include testimonials from previous partners and lenders who enjoyed working with you and will attest to your credibility. Here's an example of  testimonials for a credible home buyer in San Jose CA.

Even if you are new to the real estate investment industry, developing trust and credibility will set the tone for your business. It will make it easier to get established in your market. Good luck!
