Real Estate Website Tips For 2020

Are you a real estate investor that is struggling to get leads? Did you know that you can build a simple website that can attract potential sellers that need to sell their house fast? Read on to learn some simple ways to get started.

1. Invest In A Responsive Website

Simply google "responsive real estate website template WordPress" template and peruse the different styles. Once you purchase the template, you can either DIY the customization yourself, or hire a professional to customize the template for you. I suggest WordPress because it is easy to use, easy to customize, and it is SEO (Search Engine Optimization) friendly. More users will be using mobile devices to search for information in 2020 than ever before. It is important that your website is mobile-friendly and responsive. This is critical because real estate investor websites rely on geo-location, and potential home sellers need to find you on the go from their mobile phone to see what investors are nearby. A responsive website means the site will render correctly on all types of devices: desktop, mobile, and tablet.

2. Utilize Free Tools

I suggest setting up the Yoast plugin for SEO, and also set up Google Analytics, and Google Search Console to track your traffic and see potential issues with your site. Also, don’t risk losing potential sellers by frustrating them with a slow site. Not only is it a hassle for customers, but Google says that site speed is now a Ranking factor in the search engines. Also use Google's free speed insights tool.

3. Setup Conversion Rate Optimization

Your site should be easy to navigate and have quick ways that customers can reach out to you. Have an easy-to-use contact form, email capture form, and a click-to-call phone number. Make sure your citations (name, address, phone number), are easy to find on your website. See an example of best practices from the website of a homebuyer in California. Convert those website visitors into real leads!

Real estate investors should continuously monitor their website analytics and make changes as necessary. Make sure your site is easy to navigate, has clear call-to-action, has the right tracking tools, and is fast and mobile-friendly.
