Is New Jersey a great market? And Why?

Question

So they say know your market and I’m finding trouble understanding my market in this huge state of New Jersey.

Anyone familiar with this state and is it a great market for wholesaling or real estate in general ?

@Jonathan Rivera -- NJ is not my primary market but in the past 12 months I have bought and re-sold 6 properties in NJ (two in north NJ and four in south NJ). There was plenty of demand from buyers. All the houses I bought were from REO auctions.

Thanks @Russell Brazil.  Yeah if you understand what's going to happen here over the next 10-15 years it's going to be a great place to have buy and hold.  Doesn't seem that many people know about the choo choo Russell.  Hahahahahaha.

@Jonathan Rivera NJ is great.  Unique market for sure. Houses tend to be more expensive with high taxes but the up side is the markets that have huge rent demand, low vacancy with high rent

Echoing what others have said yes NJ is a great market solely based on how much diversity we have. No two counties are the same so you can find pretty much what your looking for in any part of the state. Taxes are higher in some places, but the demand for rentals in also high. Northern jersey is a higher priced market with higher taxes, but it gives you access to A and B neighborhoods. If you're looking for C class venture a little south and you'll find that too.
