How to advertise for renters in Columbus, Ohio

Question

I have several properties that will come vacant soon.  I have always advertised in the Columbus, Ohio Craigslist.  I am wondering if there are other places that I should be listing my properties.  The properties are in Columbus, Ohio, and one is in Clintonville quite close to OSU.  The other is in Franklinton.  :)

I tend to stay away from Craigslist, but I think it depends on what city you're in. I don't have anything new to mention that others haven't already said in regards to sites to list your rentals on, however, I did want to mention that a sign in the front yard is always a great idea as well! You'll be directly targeting anyone in the area who might walk or drive by.

I never use Craigslist. I get the worst leads on that here in Columbus, Ohio.

I would use Zillow and Facebook.

@Curt Bixel I my rental propertiers on craigslist, zillow and facebook.  Over the summer, I listed one of my franklinton properties for $1700 (3 bedroom, 2 bath, and 1800sqft)  and got it rented for that amount via craigslist.

Remington, can you tell me a bit more about what type of leads you were getting with Craigslist?  I am going to start listing my properties with the other platforms suggested above, and I am curious what I can expect as far as a difference in the leads I will get.

Could also try Ooodle, Hotpads, MLS, Zillow, Trulia, and Realtor.

Some landlord software out there you can use to track and manage your properties that can advertise for you.

Maybe craislist is good for Franklinton. I did not have any luck in Old North Columbus

I have used Zillow and it will syndicate out to their other platforms. Facebook is aslo a good one @Curt Bixel
