Prospective tenant with live in care giver

Hello,

I have a prospective tenant that we are in the process of screening, but they are disabled and have a caregiver who would be living in the home with them. How would we go forward with them and their care giver? Through the application process and the lease?

Thank you for your help!

I would screen both the resident and the caregiver. My policy is to always screen every adult that resides in the home unless they are completely dependent and unable to take responsibility for payments or other terms of the lease. An example would be a mentally or physically disabled 24-year-old son or 72-year-old mother.
