Obviously, this is on a commercial deal, and so it becomes much more affordable developing if you build more units and spread the development costs over more units.

Paying a handyman $30/hr for 20hrs($600) hurts, compared to doing it myself for free, but If I had to pay myself $1,000, the numbers (my business bank account) would show that the correct choice is to hire it out.The easy answer is that if you can afford to pay somebody else to do it then you should.
