Michaela, I can't say the thought hasn't crossed my mind, but I guess the sheer numbers of it have intimidated me. 

My preference would certainly to be able to find 1 person, who is reliable, sharp, and knowledgeable but afraid that they may not have the appropriate background and knowledge/connections when crossing neighborhoods (about 1-2 hours apart)

I understand we can not use the property, but do not know if inspecting the property on a monthly basis would cross the line of personally benefiting from the asset.

There seem to be way to many scams or high rates and I just want to dot my I and cross my t

So when I cross out the clause I'm sure there will be a lot of fuss.

Across the border in Oregon we check business credentials with the Oregon Construction Contractors Board (CCB).

Secure building permit, start construction, and cross your fingers....Most projects make it to step 3 and don't get past 4. 

So far we have been right (fingers crossed).
