I have been in search of my first investment property for about 8 months.

This is the primary reason for my search for financial freedom.

I've always thought that would be a great place to get into, but all I found (with very little searching obviously!)

I have run across some properties like this where it is in an area of town that is sort or rural pockets next to standard neighborhoods and had no luck finding any comps. 

I came across a house (3 Bed, 2 Bath, 1800 sq ft, 2 car garage, sun room, corner lot with a median neighborhood value of $195k.)  

As result, home prices in nearby neighborhoods have appreciated dramatically.

I've been looking at where companies are building to help with my search. 

You can do the research, join a local apartment association or hire a PM.If that sounds doable to you, you can certainly search online for a property, but if you find a good agent, they should be able to steer you to a property that will serve you well as well as point you in the right direction for any management advice you might need.Best of luck!
