I've lived in Las Vegas for 3 years and I've worked some part time jobs, now working full time for a vacation home rental company (Since April). 

If you rent maybe you can buy a 2-4 plex and live in one of the units.

I was introduced to REIA by a few friends when I lived in Richmond, VA, and found those meetings incredibly useful.

I live a rural area and I'm not finding much information for these properties online.

I ve lived and worked for 18 years between Ocala and Gainesville.

(we live in Northern CA so local is out of the question)  or should we be looking for a fourplex with a huge down payment ?

Great to see SWO representation here.Monthly meetings are a fantastic idea, only problem is I'm living in Toronto, so can't attend until I'm back in London.Rental #1 is a condo downtown in Kings/Queens court.

I live in Oak Forest and there are several of those in the area along TC Jester and also along Pinemont and 34th St.

John Kunick a house hack is just the term I've heard used to describe purchasing a 2-3-4 plex and living in one unit while renting the others.
