Giving two portable A/C 14,000 BTU units on wheels which can be moved from room to room. 2.

Its a good solution for the cash accumulation and non-portability problem.

You can add a window unit or portable but I wouldn't.  

Boston, DC, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, and areas of Chicago are all densely populated and high cost areas, where many residents have white collar jobs that were relatively portable during the pandemic.

Although I do track all the trends and partake in a few bio-hacker type things myself (hello sauna), it doesn't matter how much money people make, it always comes down to simple low hanging fruit kind of changes that make the biggest difference.

Did they put in a window AC/or portable AC to keep the tenants cool while options were considered versus calling in the first available at the "emergency pricing?"

Another option is a few multi zoned split units.we opted for a portable AC in our rental unit, as it was $400, rather than the $6k they wanted for a AC system mated to the furnace.
