It would have been so much easier to just heat the house with electric heaters or install some electric baseboard than to install a gas boiler.

When the heat is already hot air, most if not all of the existing ducts can be used. 

So investors may seek other alternatives such as buy “subject to” (the subject of much heated discussion on BP with some posters raging - incorrectly - that it’s illegal, immoral, and a”scam”, which is ridiculous) wrap around mortgage, seller financing, partnering to use partners capital and or credit.

It does have a "heat+cool" option that should prevent me from having to mess with it, but you can't set separate ranges so whatever your range is for cooling is going to be locked for heat as well. 

I recently had a buyers agent tell me (at my house) my heat pump was 20 years old and was at the end of its life and needs replacing .
