But I'm more bullish on Detroit's population growth in the long-term (10-30 years) due to its climate change resilience, affordability, and (as you've stated) the growing number of companies moving into the area.Here are a few quick graphs I whipped up for anyone curious about the Detroit MSA.

In today's climate where expense growth is exceeding rent growth, it's critical to have this dialed in and solve problems before they mature into gaping performance gaps in apartment operations.

My immediate area, 5200 people, has 3 outdoor self storage and 1 new climate controlled.

Everybody is different, but the climate is tougher now as carriers begin to cull customers to eliminate unprofitable ones.  

Climate refuge is a genuine priority for many and a reasonably distanced retreat or refuge has perhaps never been more valuable?

It's the middle of winter in a cold climate, so I understand not many people are moving.

I'm not a climate or weather expert though. 

We are also planning to start spending winters in warmer climates...
