They should be moved to cities where the cost of living is low, and housed in scattered SRO type dwellings, within walking distance of supermarkets and health care, with social services in place. 

I just own a few mobile home parks in Central OH  all my other properties are scattered

now we can handle all our own buyers since our product is all in one place. but how are you going to do it with scattered inventory listed all over Cleveland and all these buyers calling you directly that want to view the homes ..

One thing I would say is that college provides an opportunity for systematic learning in stead of learning scattered information by yourself.

Their grocery stores their places of worship etc.I have seen that in Detroit were there are large Muslin populations they are not scattered about generally they are in certain areas were they like to live.

I'm sure there are some scattered here and there, but the hype has no doubt driven demand for the area way up (along with prices).

In the days when my partner and I had projects scattered around the NW we had airport cars at 3 different small airports.. flying your own plane is cool until you land and try to figure out how your going to drive anywhere.. our projects were at uncontrolled airports with no amenities.. there are new improvements coming out for the X and S I would wait for those to hit before you configure . 

The first step however is narrowing down what kind of property you want and then looking for the right fit for location and your goals.If your really busy with your business you don't want little houses scattered across all of creation using varying property managers you have to keep track off.That creates problems and distracts you from your business.I don't call that investing but a headache.Many buy little houses not because it is better than other types but because it is a low entry point for real estate investing for many to start with.If you have cash already you do not have to start there.

Value was added by negotiating hard and making it easy for the owner to sell us the whole portfolio, and then by taking on 11 units in scattered sites.
