This is a loose timeline that was agreed to in writing (which could "lengthen dependent on market conditions and company operations"), and I feel will likely take more time to happen (2 years) based on the attitudes of those involved and the way previous projects have moved in the past. 

Right now you are 24 years ahead of me, and I suspect you will have the energy to lengthen that gap as we age.  

Sooo... a few beams that the engineered lengthened to line up with the new footers in the basement DON'T exactly line up where they need too.....This really isn't the framers fault, This really isn't the lumber companies fault, This is one of those things that just happens sometimes.

Purchase the entire thing as investment and then lengthen your runway a little. 

This can be done by lengthening or shortening the number of years left to pay it off, changing your interest rate, and even potentially changing the balance of your current mortgage.

From the investment side of things I think if you're going to try to lengthen the amortization in order to increase cash flow, your maturity or balloon date becomes much more important.

Can I lengthen than to allow for more time?

I don’t resent these type of tenants; not as much as the corrupted legal system that hooks up with the hefty attorney fee which breeds them to take advantage of the generous time given that favored mostly to the tenants during the process, on top of the court backing up with so many such evictions locally that lengthen it to seems even forever that’s going to take.
