Legally, you don't have to do anything, but some owners try to show some goodwill; rent reduction for portion of time they could not occupy the home because of power outages etc... just this week I sent out all of the FEMA phone numbers for help for this very same thing; they can help with rent, food etc...I went thru this very same thing during the three hurricanes of 2004.

It's cheap as heck, just put one together and see how the fasteners work....cheap.I would go to a) lower end antiques stores (or yard sales), and b) high-end thrift stores (not Goodwill, usually charity run stores like Humane Societies and such have really good donated furniture, plates , etc...

Eventually went to Goodwill for my clothes, ate bologna sandwiches for lunch for years (I don’t/won’t now, lol), cut my own hair (still do, because I don’t have a lot of it anyway), we refinished garage sale furniture and sold it, we shoveled driveways, then got into online sales of dvd/blurays (still do it) weekends and nights sending stuff out.
