The bigger ones have to do with renting to your daughter, and her being beholden to you.

And of course you vaporize and can't even respond because it was for nothing.

If you're still interested, take a trip to the site once ground has been broken.The flashy marketing material for a new development is great, but don't put your money at risk for something that's likely to vaporize.

I hopped on the roof with the garden hose to defend the property (even though initially it was contained) when suddenly an ember spread to a palm tree (that had been neglected to be trimmed for years) that instantaneously atomized/vaporized into hundreds of embers and spotted fires on several homes.

We had to move fast and initially decided to sell it, the relator who was helping us somehow convinced us we should make it a rental property......... and let her be our tenant (insert face palm here) so since we had no real estate experience and we were already moved away, we agreed.

Having said that, the best course of action is to tell the tenant what day and time the appointment is and explain if she wants to be there for it that's fine, if she can't be there, that is fine too, the workers will be entering her property without her being there.

It could even be impossible....Some inspectors will insist that walls be opened to view wiring/framing/plumbing/etc, floors be jackhammered up to show vapor barrier and rebar spacing.Ask me how I know........

Even though 99% of their initial wealth came from her parents, all assets were commingled so could not isolate any of the funds or assets to make an argument about her being the owner.
