It's market is extremely active and will remain so for a little while longer; the solidity is grounded in geographic location, climate, diverse employment base (ever expanding), higher education, hospitality/tourism, music and entertainment, the list goes on and on.

They don't have the tourism that power boat lakes do. 

On the plus side, you the fall of the Turkish lira (which is the reflection of huge economic problems though) and tourism.

Belize tourism numbers are growing and development is limited due to the island geography. 

Tourism has definitely increased due to exposure from outlets like Nat Geo because of the manatees.

This doesn't even touch on sales tax/occupancy tax/tourism tax remittance monthly.

It doesn't have the critical tourism mass, there's no middle class so no domestic demand for western-style properties and none of these is expected to change any time soon. 

Tourism is also a top industry, so short term rentals are a notable niche here as well.
