Completely shutting off utilities for a prolonged period of time can damage the property since it will not be climate controlled for that period which can lead to moisture damage, mold, and other costly repairs if it goes on long enough.

They also make those moisture meters, that I have had roofers use in my attics to attempt to trace back sources.As noted, in my market, if you have active leaks that you are aware of, they need to be disclosed when selling a property.

The locking mechanism is also water tight to prevent moisture from seeping through to the sub floor and you will then be able to run it through the whole home including bathrooms and kitchens.

Then I had my roofer go out and look at the roof to ensure there were no leaks or any of the roof compromised in any way.The remediation company did say there was some moisture in the attic in a small area where the outer part of the roof contains leaf debris.
