They have continuously looked into my company as if it is odd for an African American to successfully run a construction company.

My criteria is that the applicant has the income to qualify which often means slightly more than the 1/3 conventional ratio (check census data on African American rental expense ratio).  

Not great as in lower income, higher crime, and from what I can tell driving through, mostly African American neighborhood.

Taxes here are sky high but we get good returns with this factored in.Our properties are in an African America section of town that some investors are afraid of.

My interest rate  from the bank is 8.5% which is quite good in South African terms.

Hi @Jedrick Theron, Unfortunately there is a lot that is not relevant for South Africa but there is a ton of principles and brilliant ideas to learn from, adapt for South African opportunities and execute.

Using the president example, you would have also seen a jump in African-American investors over the past 8 years in REI.
