I give my guys respirators and pull all the sheetrock down, then hit it with bleach. 

They also wear respirators. 

My next step if you still pick up wet dog, consider some of the over the counter products that are more to remove than cover smells (Lysol, Febreze, etc) and I might don a respirator and give it a half can or so, on walls and lightly onto laminate floor,  gaps etc).

Proper ventilation and respirators are required.

When your daily tools are flea spray, bolt cutters, a flash light, a digital camera, a measuring wheel or tape measure, a respirator, and a change of clothes for when you sit on a urine stained couch.

A large part of my fascination with respirators stems from this experience.

You will need a respirator and {preferably} a disposable coveralls.  

If you visit under the structure make sure you wear a respirator appropriate for mold.

I would wear a respirator regardless.
