I really think that "anywhere you go you'll be let down" was the most accurate and helpful advice I got, because you go into it with just perceptions and the reality is often very different.

Many tenants seem to share the perception that a rent to own deal allows them to put their rent payments toward building equity instead of being "wasted" every month simply for occupancy. 

Maybe you have, I have not.How does the NOI reflect reflect market perception?  

That is where the hippy mindset influences their perception. 

I don't minimize that, only to say that in the past people had that AND massive societal problems, war, scarcity and economic poverty.

It’s hard to hear this perception shift, as to me it seems like we are just building on our foundations.

The lack of educating our youth has already reared its head in our lives, and will continue to create a burden on our societal and economic systems.Trying to keep focused on financial literacy, we didn't have classes or studies on any of those topics.

Thats a very personal thing, what is the best way to leverage for me is going to be as uniquely different for us as is what sock is best, or what is the best topping for a burger, there is such an endless array of potential means to achieving such that the "best" way is very dependant upon the person's perception.

And I think the perception that using TK does not make you an investor is unfortunate.
