I've heard of people investing in vacation rentals in AZ or other southern states (and Mexico - though entirely new set of rules) and doing fairly well. 

Mexico, Hawaii or Costa Rica will work.

When I close my eyes I can see an hacienda in Mexico.

The states that are the most prone to natural disasters are California, Texas, Oklahoma, Washington, Florida, New York, New Mexico, Alabama, Colorado, Oregon, and Louisiana.

Hello everyone, I am a new investor in the Albuquerque New Mexico area looking to network and gain knowledge.

We live in New Mexico and are nearing becoming real estate agents where we have affiliated with Keller Williams in Albuquerque.  

As of March they were late, when trying to contact them they told the owner they are in Mexico and don't know when they will be getting back. 

Bypassing two elements.The actual job is the same.In Mexico, Honduras, Thailand, there's no concept of "permitted work", they are done by the same people when it is about fixing the house, there's nothing magical about it.So yes please use permitted work, if you want to do permitted work.

the issue for those type of units was the renter pool was pretty much all working class a lot in construction and as you know construction stopped dead in its tracks in many markets.. so they moved  left the state went back to mexico or where ever.. 

I know a lot buy in Mexico and middle America.
