It would be very easy to roll up on a contractor who knows she doesnt know, who will hype that thing double of what it should be or more.

I just heard today on the Bigger Pockets podcast that a couple of factors to consider investing in another market are: population growth, population of at least 1 million, rent growth, job growth, etc. so I can see why the media hyping up certain cities would correlate with those factors. 

Although I didn't sign up for any of their offerings, the speaker got me hyped up and I began to look for properties the buy and hold. 

I decided to make the trip down and find out for myself what all the hype is about. 

I see so much hype about Ohio as well.

Don't follow the hype. 

Unfortunately, most of the STR tools are more hype than execution.

History tells us that as soon as people get out of their holding period, there will be an hyped marketing campaign and then the coins will flood whichever exchange supports trading of them. 

We are happy about this because the quality of LPs that have joined has been strong and we can sleep easier at night knowing we haven't needed to hype or over-promise at all.  

You avoid the hype and hangover of events such as this one.
