Pictures and reviews help, for sure, but in reality there's no objective way for people who are booking to really compare what they are getting for the money.

However, besides tax and escrow considerations (be sure to segregate funds and not mix them), my recommendation is to review your state laws first as soon as possible!

Like Mike said, unless you can keep their account and reviews, the "premium" is minimal.My STR investors here in Colorado buy furnished properties all the time, but I advise them to buy the property based on the comparable properties just like anything else.

So that is another reason to be cautious for both positive (and negative) reviews of a program
