The problem is why would I ever invest in Egypt when I can get higher returns in countries which much less risk (political, currency, legal, ...).

You can also invest using both crypto and fiat currency.

Aside from the normal currency and economic risks, there are significant political risks in the region.  

Everytime I go to their site as a traveler, it shows currency in British pounds instead of US dollars, despite me checking the box for US dollars, and I've traveled through them numerous times.

Dollar has lost against most currencies, but still within historic norms. 

Figure the REITS are themselves leveraged at average of 35%, and with “internal growth” of the REITS averaging another 2.5% annual, the REITS value increase over time should cover currency depreciation of the entire portfolio (both REITS and debt fund) inflation.
