What Makes Germany a Prime Market for U.S.

Hi all, I'm an American living in Germany.  

While I agree that the STR market has matured and margins are compressing, I don’t think this is a universal truth especially for Americans buying in international markets like Germany.

The influx of foreign investments explains in large part why countries like Spain and Portugal are now economically performing better than the likes of Germany and France.

Austria, Germany, Luxembourg; these immediately come to mind as "ancient" developed areas in contrast to the "infant" that is USA, and they seem to be doing very well, very efficient, very well setup and established across the strata's. 

I am from California, but lived in Peachtree City, Georgia last year (renting), and currently live in Germany as an Au Pair.

This article only gives 3 examples (Germany 4.5%, 1.3% in Britain, and 2.5% in Australia).
