I was warned about it when a tenant hires employees, then they go down the block getting snacks, leaving the front entrance doors unlocked.

I've not looked at what I could get for rent ahead of time, like you have, but it's a large apartment with 1 bedroom, 2 other rooms (office plus bonus room, etc) plus a brand new open concept kitchen, with its own separate entrance and garage access. 

I'm also seeing a lot of folks converting a split floor plan into a MIL suite with separated entrances, and using one side to run as a rental.

The water sits there before evaporating and goes to the path of least resistance.Another area where a leak can occur is when a sign is installed outside above the door entrance.

Or a SFH with a separate entrance type setup that would allow you to rent a basement either as a long-term or short-term rental.

A 2 story home with separate entrances (Possibly built so 15+ years convert it into a single home with upstairs/downstairs)Basically, I am asking if this situation would work.Sell current home, and build a new home in that half of the property would be rented out and I would live in the other half while being the landlord.

These are typically lower levels with separate entrances.

I personally worked with one and that was an easy entrance into out of state investing and setting up your team.

I am currently shopping around for a Camara Security system for my 10unit apartment complex, located in Grandview, MO.I am wanting to be able to monitor all exterior corners along with entrances and common areas in the interior - it would be about a total of 15 camaras.
