My own real estate attorney doesn't take security Deposits for that reason.I am by no means a lawyer or an expert, however, after reading the laws pertaining to this subject, here is my conclusion:Security Deposits may be taken upon signing the lease, in an amount that is no greater then 1 months rent.The security deposit must be placed into an interest bearing account, and held within the Commonwealth.

However, the call to be honest was very underwhelming -- the guy just mainly explained how they worked/operated and asked a bit about my background/financial goals -- there was zero information on anything pertaining to my financial situation (even though they have this information).After the call, I was sent an email with a PDF brochure, outlining generally what they do/how they operate and a link to pay for $23,750.

@Allen HuaIf you want to do some reading yourself here is the link to FNME pertaining to your situation:https://www.fanniemae.com/content/guide/selling/b3...It's always nice having others chime in with their helpful information, but have the knowledge of 100% factual information from the source is always best. :)In your case, as others have state, you will be able to take the Monthly Market Rent of minimum of 75% of potential income.
