I know nothing about real estate (even though I got licensed in NY as a real estate agent, I didn't do much with my license.)

Hello all:Ray here from Long Island NY, a rookie commercial investor with a background in finance and urban planning with a bit of dabbling in residential brokerage.In the process of starting a commercial investment venture and would love to be able to bounce ideas off those with more experience as well as be able to share anything I can contribute based on my path when it comes to real estate.

I had also researched some markets in NY as well and maybe had been looking in the wrong neighborhoods.

All it means is a check written to me and signed is good on the date it's given to me, regardless of date of check, and I can legally deposit it.At least, that's the law in NY as explained to me.The way the nuns explain it to me, if I really want to get checks monthly, and if I believe post dated checks are illegal, then I'm welcome to call and follow up their account payable department monthly, and dun them for payment, and then late fees.
