I was in the Mortgage business during the 2008 collapse and I don't feel the current lending climate relates at all.

The question is - how to make that happen in this new climate.

I'm in Florida, so we don't have nearly the challenges someone in a cold climate/mountainous area would face.

The climate is fairly mild, and without extreme weather conditions that cause wear & added maintenance/repair costs.

However, with the current immigration climate, I am unsure how to proceed.As far as I know, unlike California, landlords in Florida are allowed to ask about legal status.

Just my thoughts with defunding police, civil disorder, and COVID-19 all at once.

Investing however, is planting it after you have studied the soil, the climate and everything else that will make this plant thrive.

I'm trying to find areas that aren't over saturated but also have mild climates or little/no snow. 

I am looking into making my first short-rental purchase to use as a vacation home to escape our current climate during the winter months around the Orlando/Kissimmee Florida area.

When I ask for reasons I get cost of living, quality of live, moderate climate, fresh water access, no natural disasters and moving back to where they were from.From what I can see the trend to the Midwest is steadily increasing, but by no means as big as moving south.
