A lot of listings you see on Airbnb within city limits are likely operating in a gray area or under creative setups (for example, co-hosting with owner-occupants, or focusing on areas just outside Detroit where the ordinances are more flexible).If you’re set on pursuing STRs, one strategy that’s been working for some investors is targeting nearby suburbs — places like Ferndale, Dearborn, or Hazel Park — which have much friendlier regulations but still get good booking demand from people visiting Detroit.Long-term, it’ll depend on how the city evolves its stance on STRs.

I am the owner of property and don't have to hire a lawyer which is required if I was an llc realtors will look to see who owns a property prior to taking buyers for visits and they will signal that right or wrong that houses owned by Llc are flips I suspect telling the judge you intend to owner occ when that is a blatant lie could get you reprimanded pretty seriously if someone file a complaint against you..
