Travel nurses are making bank and sometimes I think the locums companies provide lodging.

As far as flying (tax deductible too) You can do that and if it's in the states the total trip shouldn't cost you more than $2000 all in with lodging. 

Most of us are running lodging businesses in areas that are zoned residential. 

I think for the 2 other attractions nearby, a lot of people I'm assuming aren't needing lodging for the museum and or park.

I think most people searching in a given area are not looking to prey they are purposely looking for lodging.

Also accounts for mobilization costs (e.g. lodging for field team) and shipping costs for materials. 

Programs like the Navy Lodge or Temporary Lodging Allowance (TLA) can be starting points.

This is located in a tourist lake/ski town with extremely high demand for lodging.
