We also make it very clear to the tenant that they are responsible for any damage to the window itself arising from fitting their air conditioner.Many of our retrofitted properties have heat pumps (and hence A/C), in those properties we do not permit window units.We also tend to use casements when replacing windows, which are not conducive to window AC units .... though I've seen folks try.
