There is something to be said (in my area at least) for apartments with a little more character than the modern boxes build today.

I am looking for opinions, please, on whether a buyer would look for the more modern styles of doors/trim, or whether, because these are in great condition, painting them would be an acceptable option.

Are you aiming for a classic cedar, a modern contemporary, a cabin feel, an urban feel, etc? 

The only nod to modernity is eurostyle bow front vanities since they increase floor space in tiny baths making them look bigger.
