I’ve heard that a debt settlement attorney can help negotiate with creditors to reduce the total amount owed, which sounds appealing, but I'm a bit unsure if the cost is worth it, especially since some charge high fees.Has anyone here worked with a debt settlement attorney?

I work for General Dynamics Electric Boat which has decades long contracts with the US government and the turnover rate is relatively high in the company so my thoughts are if I could choose a place that is within commute distance there and within the price range of the average employee that maybe that could be a great idea but I want to know if people think that is too much of an assumption and risk to make?

If you're going to do it in that fashion, I'd pick the smaller amount for both; one tenant will appreciate the fact that you didn't raise it as high as they suggested, and the other one will think it's fair.
