I know some buy and hold investors that deal in such areas but war zones are a very long term plan and not worth all the tums moments generally.My brother and I when we were new dealt with such areas because that was where we basically had friends and grew up in the old days.

The adjacent district to all the cities historic districts are in demand because you don't have the red tape associated with building and or renovating.The six homes we are doing are all unique plans.

So I drove through an area called oak cliff (complete war zone in dallas) and I came across a small neighborhood called encino hills.

Just be sure to check your local housing code.Jaclyn Unlikely it will be viewed as discriminatory housing in Ontario, but quite probable it will be seen as a rooming house and, if that area of London is not zoned for rooming houses, he could have a regulatory issue.The other Dylan will encounter is with {conventional} financing.  

The old paint is still in the garage, so I could make those repairs myself, but I know it wouldn't look nearly as nice as a professional repainting job.The kitchen/dining is painted a horrible BLOOD RED color.

@Madison Lowe Houston's MLS created a Geo-Market map that better describes the different zones of Houston and the surrounding area.

There is a university that is seemingly thriving, but no jobs for the graduates.I've been wholesaling since last year, and can find the legit deals (40-50 % ARV, 25% cash-on-cash, lowest on market, no war zones) but the "cash buyers" just don't seem to have the cash.

I bet the builder choose the inspector, and if they did it would raise a red flag.
