I have had multiple STRs in the nashville area.

I would like to purchase a three or four Plex and live in one of the units.I understand I can use an FHA loan or conventional loan with only 3 to 5% down in order to get into the property however I live in a very expensive area and the properties I am looking at are currently 700+. 

Anastasia That’s a great deal for land, especially in residential areas.

@Sankalp GoduguIf you are looking in the Columbus market I recommend areas like Hilltop, Linden, Eastmoor/ Whitehall, and Franklinton.

What are the biggest factors of an area when looking to buy land, what should I look for?

Are you targeting a certain area of DFW?

Resist the temptation to chase the average home buyer and seller that likely 100s or 1000s of other "realtors" are doing in your area.
