All that said, South Florida still has a little taint to it from all of the mortgage fraud and other financial frauds that took place and purchase money mortgages are still scrutinized.It looks like you are from Canada so much of the up and coming real estate issues that Canada is going through right now is present in Florida related to home affordability versus household income.

What really concerns me is the price people are willing to pay for new homes in class C areas.  700 to 800K homes with tiny lots in Hayward neighborhood surrounded by industrial buildings.
