I'll probably rent and live in the downtown area for around 3 years then look into buying a starter home that I can house hack.

I know short-term rentals are being highly frowned on...but again, that's not room rentals per se.The neighborhood I live in is just close enough to town you can walk but far enough away (20 min to downtown) that you don't get the stray activity. 

I’m wondering if anyone has any insight into how much a plot of land closer to downtown Acworth/Lake area will set me back?
